Laser trabeculoplasty is an effective in office treatment of some glaucoma varieties.
Trabecular surgery Espanol
Filtering microsurgery (trabeculectomy) is necessary for more resistant cases of glaucoma. This requires a surgical room microscope. A successful operation is associated ith a filtering bleb shown above.
Ocular minishunt valve surgery may be recommended for patients not responding to other measures. The shunt acts like a stent that allows for easier exit of fluid from the eye keeping the pressure low.
